Re: Spotting Scope -Suggestion
important criteria of such scope is eye relive - distance form eye piece to eye, more is better, because spotting scope used for long time observation low quality spotting scope will strain your eye badly in short time. you can check what eye relive of your rifle of spotting scope are by directing light into scope and by moving your hand on the side of eye piece to get sharp circle of light projection of your hand. another thing to consider is for what distance you going to use it, less magnification more eye relive, easier long time observation.
also what kind of magnification you may need, magnification usually looks like such numbers 20-60x, in this case 20 will be real magnification of this scope, which will be more comfortable to use. 60 is just manipulation of eye piece to increase that picture 3x. that is not a real kind of zoom. if you can find good quality spotting scope in less then usd200 price range please let me know. best would be just visit some shop and test different models. and keep usd400 in mind.

Re: Spotting Scope -Suggestion
You are not likely to get much for $150 if you wish to buy a spotting scope. Why not get her a pair of binoculars? You can get some decent ones in your price range.Considering you budget,I would suggest the Zen Ray Vista 8x40 for about $130 or the Vortex Diamondback 7x36 for slightly more ( about $190).SUFFIX wrote:Hi,
