Non factory made high cap mags for IOF pistol

Post by Kshatriya » Sat Aug 05, 2006 10:35 pm

Hi,
I was wondering whether to replace the 8 shot factory issue magazines for the 12 shot ones as advertised here :

http://gunaccessory.com/spares/

If anyone has any experience with these, could he share his experiences ?
How do they accomodate the extra 4 cartridges within the same space ?
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks. :D

* Ejector - Rs 800/-
* Firing pin (Two piece, as in original) - Rs 1200/-
* Firing Pin (One piece) - Rs 1000/-

* Magazine 8-shot - Rs 2000/-
* Magazine 12-shot - Rs 2500/-
* Grips - Rs 1500/-
* Hammer Spring - Rs 400/-

The spares can be fitted on your weapon or sent to a licenced Arms Dealer who gives an undertaking that the spares are being purchased for the purpose of repairs only and the quantity shall not exceed the maximum limit allowed for the year and these are not being utilized for assembling into complete firearms.

Col. A.S. Puri (M) +91- 93561 56466

These are spares specific to the IOF pistol & as Col. Puri told me either get a gun dealer to get them for u or ask an acquaintance to get it from Chandigarh.

Can someone enlighten me if The Arms Act has anything against high-capacity magazines ?

Anyone game, at Chandigarh, to send me these spares on payment, by courier ?

Sorry for not being able to keep up with the forum due to a few family engagements that kept me busy for last couple of months. penpusher, I got them couriered from Amritsar a few months back.
I had purchased a wooden butt, a magazine catch & a 12 shot mag from them. Due to nickeling there was a magazine malfunction which I would get rectified soon from a local gunsmith. All other accessories are working well.
Major Saab, spoke to u this morning & hope I helped u in firming up ur mind regarding the small arm/s u are planning to purchase.

Hi Asif Saab,
Nice to communicate with u guys after such a long duration. Now I would try to be more regular here. The firearms (please do not use this word again-weapons) are fine, though a little chunk of the factory issue mag for the pistol has broken off.I will get it repaired as soon as I can manage.
It would take some time before I am able to browse thru all the posts I've missed but I have learnt a lot from these forums & I'd be in touch.
Thanks.:-D
