PCP Pump is not a gun. So duty is obvious. IF you ask how much you have to pay, it is based on what they have declared on the parcel.

that doesn't mean that it is duty free. You are lucky that they haven't charge duty on you.

Dear All,
I came across this in sales section and am confused. Here in the discussion thread you all guys says that one cannt import .22 caliber air rifle vide courier. And i recall that i tried placing order with p.a for a .22 caliber air rifle and p.a told me that they donnt ship .22 caliber air rifle to India. But here in the sale thread a member claims to have got evanix AR6 .22 caliber vide courier. Am confused.

Hello...
I am an annual member of the Gwalior District Rifle Association (Affiliated to MP State Rifle Association), but my Club does not issue an ID Card unless i represent at the State level.
I only have a certificate (on the letterhead) which shows my Name, Father's Name, Address, Membership No. and that i am an annual member of the Association.
Can i get an airgun imported with such a document...?? Will it be considered a valid document...??

Still a grey area can be impounded, may go thru. You must be willing to gamble with your $100 or so.

I would advise you to get the id card. Though at times the customs at the international airport may let it thru, the FPO guys in Delhi won't. I would suggest that you participate in a few national level competitions if your state won't give you an id card. Try talking to the FedEx guys about what they require.elite.sniper wrote:Hello...
