Why don't you try Deepak Mistry, Kolhapur? He is the guy you can trust. He is good at his work.

Talha my friend we have good gunsmiths in Dehradun it self. Try Doon Arms( he has been working on my family's guns for ages and is very skilled and just fitted a new stock on one of our 12 ga lyon and lyon) or even Shafaq hussain all are in the Inamullah Building.

Talha,

I do not think that a bent gun will shoot particularly well.Stay away from any 'gun benders'

'Stock maker' is what you mean to say, right?

hi winnie,
gun bending dosen't meaan bending the barrel of the gun to some angle but the stock angle in relation to the barrel, its generally done to customize the gun to the shooters body type. It helps to get good results in wing shooting.

Talha,

Bending a stock is generally done to adjust an already existing stock to the shooter. The stock may or may not survive the process. This is not required to be done in case a new stock is to be made where the LOP,cast and drop is as per the shooter.

"Gun bending gun"? where did you find this term? Some one may have made a jig for something like this but I fail to understand the term that you are using. For bending a gun stock all that you need is steam and pressure.Do it wrong and you can do some damage to the action itself.Twisting the tangs is a possibility.

What is wrong with the stock that you wish to 'bend' with the use of a 'gun bending gun' using the expertise of a 'gun bender'?

Talha,

What you call a "gun fitter," we in the U.S. call a stock fitter. A "gun fitting gun" here in the west is called a "try-gun." It has a stock that is completely adjustable so it can be adjusted to fit a shooter of any particular size and shape; the stock dimensions can then be duplicated on a custom stock or on the stock of the shooter's gun.

If you cannot find a stock fitter in your area, Goggle "Stock Fitter's Bible." Amazon sells them and ships them around the world. The book tells you how to find the stock dimensions that fit you and then a gunsmith who knows nothing about stock fitting or shooting form can alter your gun's stock dimensions to fit you.

Stock fitting is related to the shooting form the shooter uses. Shooting form consists of the gun mount, stance and body posture for the various shooting disciplines (trap, skeet, hunting, etc.) for which a gun will be used. They each require slightly different stock dimensions to allow a shooter to use the shooting form that, over time, has resulted in the greatest shooting success.

[edit]: Stock fitters are also usually knowledgeable in stock bending, which is useful in fitting guns in some cases. http://www.stockfitting.com

Rollin,
Thanks for the great Piece of information, I will surely visit Amazon to find related books. I think having a try gun for gun fitting would have a greater results in compare to just reading it from a book. what do u suggest<

Talha,

What you need is a stock fitter or a gunsmith who is knowledgeable about fitting stocks to shooters of different sizes and shapes who shoot different shooting disciplines -(wing/upland shooting, trap, skeet, etc.)

Gunsmiths here in the U.S. as a group, know nothing about fitting stocks. They are able to change stock dimensions when requested to do so but very few of them know what effect a dimensional change will have on a customer's shooting or the effects one dimensional change will have on other stock dimension and overall gun fit.

If visit Amazon, look at "Stock Fitter's Bible." I wrote it several years ago for shooters who do not have access to a knowledgeable stock fitter (who are few and far between in the U.S.) but want to request a gunsmith to make stock dimensional changes.
