I have shot a bit with the Ashani lately and I daresay I changed my opinion a fair deal (for the better that is). :)
As I understand, the Ashani is a pistol for self protection and concealed carry . That to some extent justifies the non existent sites that it comes with. Putting that "bridge over river kwai" kinda rib according to me jeopardizes quick draw function. Aesthetically ? Each to his own .

When you fabricate the new mag release button behind the trigger guard, does it allow the slide to remain open after the last round is fired from the magazine ?

There is an external hammer too . Does it warrant that big an advantage that one has to get the original slide cut/slotted to accommodate it ?

What is the price difference between a pre-owned original non tweaked Ashani and a modified one ?

best,
Rp.

Guys i have got a pistol from iof, i got it modified it frm someone who knows his job verry well indeed.will post the pics tomm, joined in today only ,i guess u wud like it.
1 external hammer
2 got rid of the snoot , which makes it more ugly,
3 chequered grips(fancy ones doesnt suit)
4 barrel :D lock (usual modification)

the guy did manage to change the shape of its slide and it changed the whole appereance....yeah and got the mag done too.....had a follower inserted instead of those slim feeding lips...got the design from my beretta..anyways tried to redo sumthing hoping it wud look good and become reliable as well
