in new one, nothing is new except the firing pin and grips, internal technology is same.
remember its india gentleman. and it happens only in india.
this is an indian revolver and u are to fire indian cartridges in it .

the imported revolvers have a very smooth trigger pull, ( especially the Chinese one ) even a 5 yr old child can hit it.
many options were available in the indian market this year on diwali.

Hi ,congrats on your laser fitted revolver ,it is good innovation except that while shooting you will have to offset the laser point on the target by 1.5 to 2 inches.and moreover the best part of having the laser is that atleast you get to know where exactly your revolver is looking.Could you please tell me where u got the laser from and who fitted it for you ???? thanx :D

very effective range, can hit a target at 50 meters.

available colour is black only.

Ashwani why do you need to conceal a toy. In case you are trying to pose it as a firearm then you might be pushing yourself into grave danger. These toys are not new , they have been there in the market for almost a decade. I remember that these were available in the year 2000 also. I had bought one out of Curiosity then.

I am sure you will let your children to play with them under your supervision . The plastic projectiles have a nasty tendency to cause eye injuries.

Actually, you ought to share this stuff at some Toys "R" Us blog.

I was reading safety manual of Smith & Wesson Revolvers, it clearly states that - Never mix ammunition.

Never use a cartridge not specifically designated for use in your firearm. Pressure from the wrong type of ammunition may be beyond the capability of your firearm to withstand and may damage or even rupture your firearm

According to well informed sources the Mark-IV Revolver has undergone successful field trials. It is now awaiting the approval of the concerned authorities for mass production and sale. The price will be Rs.90000/- plus. It has a slightly longer barrel than Mark-III and wll have better look. The metal to be used for the barrel is made of a new alloy which is expected to give it a longer life, despite exensive firing. Expected to be out by the middle of 2011.

Respected seniors,
I just booked by .32 bore revolver from Fields gun factory and date of collection is 16th Feb. Can you please guide me as what all things I need to keep in mind while taking the revolver as I am new to it and this is the first Arm I am about to own. I took help from Ram Singh in booking that and he suggested me to send the papers beforehand so that he can get the papers ready. Wanted to know as how much time it takes to get the revolver if all the papers are ready before hand; like traveling license.
:?

Avoid roaming in the city with revolver. Buy ammunition from arms dealer before taking the delivery of revolver since only revolver will be given to you at the factory without any ammunition. Ammunition and probably mobiles are not allowed inside factory. Therefore you should have somebody along with you, who will keep ammunition and mobile with him outside the factory gate, while you go inside to take delivery of revolver.

Probably Ram Singh would be in a better position to tell this.

An hour and a half if it's a busy day, otherwise an hour is enough.

You need to know nothing as It will be a simple procedure. Just remember do not dry fire your weapon as the first thing most of the people do it after collecting their new revolver. Keep a low profile after getting your weapon cause Kanpur is a city you wont like to visit again.

Respected seniors,

Thank you for your advice, I will surely keep this in mind the points that you all suggested before going to take the delivery of the revolver. As I have read at many placed in the forum that arms from IOF is not that good as compared to imported ones which are even 10 years old. Just wanted to check how much difference in quality do you thing would be there in a new arm manufactured by IOF or any Imported Arm which is about 10-12 years old. Please suggest if I am making a wise decision in getting a revolver from IOF.

Regards,
Jaspreet
