I've fallen in love with the Diana 46 Stutzen every since I've seen it online.
Most of the online stores who have it, do not ship it to India or have some problems with International Credit cards. I found out from the Diana's site that G.Smith & Co in Pune are the authorised dealers for Diana in India.
I've been quoted a price of Rs.42000/- for the rifle. This includes all costs (cost of rifle + shipping + freight + customs + octroi etc).
Is it worth spending that much for the Stutzen? Your views pls.
Also if you could suggest some site, dealer where it could work out cheaper, I'd be most grateful.
Regards,
Deepak

Re: Need your views on Diana 46 Stutzen
deepak: It's a beautiful looking air rifle. I was quite taken with it myself sometime back.
Diana stopped producing it last year and is planning on reintroducing it soon.
It is expensive. If you like stutzens you may want to consider the one made by Gamo. It's not bad at all and considerably cheaper.

Hi Ashok,
Thanks a lot for the information. I did have a look at the GAMO stutzen, but it dosent have that charm that Diana has. Any idea why Diana decided to stop the production? Also, when is the new one expected?

Deepak

Re: Need your views on Diana 46 Stutzen
hiya there. I have the Diana 46 Stutzen, got it a few years back. she's heavy but well-balanced. i find the trigger pull a bit stiff but being heavy, she sits well and is very steady and i find it dead-on accurate. some of my pals complain about the recoil in that it is much heavier than the venerable mod. 35 but definitely i don't feel it like being more than a kinda comfortable "thunk" on my shoulder. a bit heavy for outdoor carry vis-a-vis other air rifles, but all in all a real joy to own and shoot with. do go for it even if you are not heavily built and well-padded like me. the recoil, believe me, you will not feel it when you see the results. and she is good-looking too. do tell us of your shooting experiences.
regards,
seejay.
BTW, do they have the .177 Gamo Hunter Extreme and at what cost ? what is the most powerful Diana .177 they have and what is the cost ?

Re: Need your views on Diana 46 Stutzen
I finally got the GAMO whisper after reading all praises about it in reviews and through Paul Capello's video.
I couldn't agree more as this rifle is really neat! lighter than most guns that I've tried. It delivers about 1200 f.p.s even with H&N match pellet.
I would surely love to own a Stutzen one day if I can.

Deepak
