Hydnawab, I wish that this is the last reason why these two educated gentlemen should become friends.
These state/religious/caste etc divisions are so much a part of us that we dont even realise it.
In the CWG there was only one event (AFAIK) where all 3 medallists were indians and the gold medallist said "I am proud of the fact that all three of us are *******" (name of the caste).
That too in an international competition in front of an international media.
I am sure that neither that medallist nor you have castism/religious difference at heart conciously but this just goes on to show the extent to which these feelings have permeated our subconcious.
I hope such regional friendships are not encouraged as in the future it might lead to ugly groupism as evident in other forums.
I would rather they forget their differences due to mutual respect otherwise, remain at each others throats.
I hope this post hasnt offended either Hydnawab, winnie, bespoke or the medallist in question.
