... minus the scope :)

S460M ... Springers are good, but nowhere compared to PCPs if competitive sports, marksmanship and bull is the goal. Springers are a cool tool for fun, plinking and sorts. So, from a sports perspective, PCPs would be the direction to head. In PCPs, the 'general' category ones are easier to procure and use, but eventually, one would have to rest with a Walther or FWB for those 100 cards.
On the other hand, if you must go in for a springer, you have several options.... I would personally suggest an under/side lever like the HW77K :)
BSAs are not as common as the newer sons, but is surely a proven and time tested make. Hope this helps :)

Hi ,
Every body I have joined newly to this forum right now and also I have newly joined the ORISSA RIFLE ASSOCIATION its a state body I want to make the practice for 50m air rifle shooting. Will it be good to have a 0.22caliber of IHP

I have contacted many arms dealer in my state and some arms importers across the country they are saying you cannot import more than 0.177 caliber my first choices is Webley scott.

specially I am interested in 0.22 caliber.

abhrankash,

The only caliber used in competitive airgun shooting is .177. Also, 10 m is the only distance at which competitive airgun shooting happens. There is no competitive discipline for .22 airgun shooting.

I think there is some confusion here. Let me try and clarify.

The 25 and 50 meter events (Pistol or Rifle) are shot in the .22 caliber ONLY. But there are fire-arms and NOT air guns.

The 10 meter events (Rifle and Pistol) are shot in the .177 caliber and only with air guns.

For the 50 meter prone shooting, you MUST use a ,22 fire-arm, which cannot be imported until you qualify in the NSCC.
You can presently import only .177 Air guns, which you can use only in the 10 meter ranges.

Hope this helps :)
... and welcome to IFG :)

abhrankash,

Please take the time to read what I have posted. Competitive airgun shooting happens at a distance of 10m only. Shooting at distances of 50m happens with a .22 rifle( firearm and not the airgun). Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Dear, sir

NSCC stands for National Shooting Championship Competitions, and is conducted by the NRAI. It is held in different cities every year. One must qualify in the G V Mavlankar National Shooting Competitions to participate in the NSCC. And to goto the GV Mavlankar National Shooting Competitions, one must quality in the state level trials.
