Seen some similar ones from Mughal Era in Bombay Museum. Do post more pics. This piece needs restoration.

yup ..i did recently ... this pics was taken before that ... you know one thing ... there s no rust or corruption over the surface after these many years ... the white powder s ashes .. we applied when we do prayer in home with this sword..
still the blade is so sharp ...

A replica of George Washington's battle sword (from the JFK Presidential Library in Boston, MA).
The card reads: President Kennedy commissioned the Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois to create exact replicas of George Washington's battle sword as gifts for visiting heads of state.
The blade looks seriously damaged near the base... it isnt. It is the velvet of the case that has "blocked" that portion of the blade. Since it is in a glass case, I couldn't re-arrange it

My blade collection : Njoy
My blade collection began from early teens. With years of use, only the sheaths are showing signs of wear. The knives are going strong.
First Pick: 10TH ANNIVERSARY NORTH AMERICAN FISHING CLUB SCHRADE & USA LTD. Serial no. 2549 is etched on the brass bolster. Has a beautiful Oak wood box. MAPLE HANDLES, BRASS BOLSTERS AND LINERS GOLD ETCHED BLADE DEPICTS A LARGE MOUTH BASS AND NAFC LOGO AND RIBBON.
Second Pick: Gerber Applegate, Victorinox Swiss Champ, above the Swiss champ placed horizontally is a 100 year anniversary edition Victorinox small keyring classic model (that has a metal inlay commemorating 100 years) , Buck Knife 110 and a Case dual blade knife.
Third Pick: 2 Smith & Wesson’s & a Leatherman Crater.
Fourth Pick: Smaller knife is a Camillus boot knife stamped on the knifes body : Camillus N.Y.USA CP75 / Larger knife is a Gerber LMF2.
Fifth Pick: First knife is a one piece Schrade + 1400T / USA, has a 6 inch blade / Second knife is a genuine bayonet & has a 6 inch blade.
Sixth Pick: An axe DIN 5132 600 is of the axe & Beilstiel 360 DIN 5132 – lackiert is printed on the handle of the axe.
