Can understand the feeling . If I was to take a decision, I would stick to the LP10 and not the LP10E. The electronic trigger is kind of dicey for novices, I have read. All the best. Are you a member of KSRA?

Thank you Prabhath. I am undergoing my CRTC @ KRSA - should be thru with it this weekend.

For good measure I have applied at the CAR centre for their CRTC course too (since the KSRA range is closed - I did not want a problem due to the lack of 'firearm' practice if I decide to apply for a licence any time in the future )

460 > 360, so go in for 460

Underlever is anyday better than a break barrel, simply because of lesser strain on the barrel itself. Although both have similar power (around 1200 fps), the underlever 460 brings about a better sturdiness that the 360 cant match. Both are well proven models, live long and fare well.
Underlevers also have a lesser chance of the washers wearing out, air leaks and any barrel shake. The distance between the two sights are also a bit further in the 460, which may add to better sighting, slightly, but yes. Overall length is reduced in the 460, which makes it a tad bit easier to handle. It is a wee bit heavier; and the costing is almost double of the 360.

If cost is not a problem, go in for the 460. Also consider the Weirauch 77K

Since I still havent bought the rifle, I would love to know -1) Is this model any good? 2) Any drawbacks of keepings a Co2 powered gun in India?

460 is better but heavier also. If you want to do target or bench rest shooting, the under-levers r best. Carrying them in field for HFT etc is damn tiring.
An HW under-lever like a 77K or HW97K is anyday better than a Diana.

This is a classic reproduction of the famous west series of firearms. Made to match looks, size and usage.
Its cylinder magazine is a fine plus for plinking, and maintainability should not be worse than any other CO2 powered guns around.
However, CO2 is itself not what any good shooter may opt for, owing to CO2 wearing off washers, plus inconsistent power produced by CO2 (which depends on outside factors like temperature, etc).
As a collector's item and for pure plinking joy, I'd love to own one.... and then again, it all depends on what you want it for

The purpose will be some plinking - here and there. Ofcourse, I was a little concerned about the legal implications of having a rifle which can fire repeatedly! I hope that wont be a problem!

I'm not too sure about the weight factor as both of them have almost same weight.. I'm already running from piller to post in search of a good deal for a new diana.. I don't know what else I need to go through to buy a HW..
I enquired bout diana 460 and 350 from gunmark of pune ..and they said its 54K and 53K respectively.. Is that a good buy guys?

If u want to buy locally there is but little choice. Gunmark prices are ok and buying from some one else would cost u more for a 460 magnum for sure.
If you are not caliber fussy then go for a 177 caliber and import yourself.

Very good rifle to own,well built,accurate and good fun.The only drawback is the CO2 but once you have someone supplying it to you then your set.
Have mine for the last couple of months and it takes on my PCPs at 20 m!Buy it...
