Friends, to me a lot of this talk ia a bouncer. All i know is 'point at the object and press the button'.

i totally agree with manish sir , my one camera sony vx2100 3ccd got damaged a bit due to fungus on lens i bought it for 1,80,000 rs sold it for 95,000 recently in working condition .. now i use silica gel .. and thanks a lot lucky luke...... ure absolutely right we have to maintain both aperature and shutter speed to get the perfect results out of the camera... yes hs10 is the best camera i have used till now ... its my dslr yes it supports raw files extension *.raf

Congrats on pic #1. You have thrown the backgound outof focus (blurred) which helps in the subject attracting attention of viewers of the picture. Nice one.

Sharpness is not as per my liking. I had to pan as they were just not keeping still.
All images cropped, resized and sharpened a bit.

Last one is Emerald Dove I think...

Can't put off decision to buy a good bird recognition guide anymore. Please suggest me a good one. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Tas, for the encouragement, I have taken Brihacharan and advice from you/fnatumfan and started reading up on 'composing a photograph'. In the last picture, three element of composition are incorporated - texture(light), diagonals and grid 2x2. But after taking a photograph, I feel my heart flip or skip in excitement and I know that I have taken a good shot!

It is the Treron phoenicoptera- Green pigeon, hariyal and you will concur - a great delicacy!
