IFG stickers....

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Danish,
This is a great effort! The sticker is a good representation of what we would like to signify IFG
Deserves serious thought, Abhijeet?
Please dont take it to heart, but the reason we might sound so damn old womanish is , however, beautiful the poster is, it is starkly suggestive of hunting-which is a banned and therefore an illegal activity...would you please try another theme? similar to the sticker?
Keep on doin it

The design is good, no doubt.

May I ask that r v only for sports shooting ? Our home page speaks about IFG as :
Indians For Guns is India's own online forum for technical discussion about firearms, firearm advocacy, gun rights, RKBA (Right to Keep and Bear Arms) and shooting sports in India. This forum is intended to provide answers to frequently asked questions both on guns and about gun ownership in India.

We also advocate the right to keep and bear arms which includes gun / firearm / weapon ownership as a whole. Shooting for sports is ONE such avenue. Therefore I believe that our sticker should depict guns / firearms as a general theme and not restricted to air pistols / air rifles for range shooting etc.

The forum is open for positive criticism !!

I know, Anupam; agree with you totally.
Bit of a pain isnt it? Me? I'd like to have a pic of a cape buff charge take down...We have enough people raining on our gun owners parade, so for starters, am keeping it within bounds of political correctness.Thats all.A reasonably safe/acceptable depiction would be the target etc. Please post your designs/themes.

You are right Anupam - gun rights and RKBA legislation (or something close to it) is the primary objective of IFG... shooting sports and other similar activities are things that interest most members, hence their inclusion here as well...

Personally, what I really like about Danish's design is that is seems to have been drawn in "vector" format, so scaling it up or down in size should not cause loss of quality. Secondly, it would look as good in monochrome as it does in two colours - thus allow for (cheaper) black & white stickers to be printed. Last of all, it is simple - and I am a sucker for simple! :)

I too have one design in mind that I will try and upload as soon as I get time to finish it... :)

Shall we put a time cap on this sticker thing? So that we can put all shortlisted stickers to a vote by X date?

Cheers!
Abhijeet

Do post you design... Abhijeet...

Yes, a black / blue colour over transparent plastic would definitely reduce costs... single colour stuff..

I still favour a angled design... triangular or something with arrow like edges as it represents aiming / narrowing down to target etc... :D Its only a thought !!
If anybody can suggest any modifications to my design (posted earlier) I don't mind reworking on it again...

Thans Asif for considering my design. I'll be the most happiest man if this sticker is printed for all IFG members. My best wishes are always with IFG and i'll try to give my best to IFG.

Just a quick reminder to all you IFG die hards: please declare and CONFIRM that this is original and not copied from ANY existing design.
Obvious , or we may be facing legal problems from owners of the copyright.

Like the way this discussion's going.Let's have a poll as Abhijeet says. The soft copy of the most favoured IFG sticker may be given to one person in every zone who can get them printed.Wouldn't mind taking the responsibility of getting them printed in Bangalore.

Asif,

Are your referring to the logo of Danish showing pistol shooting ?
