Jaz,
I think I remember seeing a pic of the Eddystone on some thread a few months back. Looked good and if I'm not mistaken, it was available in Punjab somewhere. Now I myself have just recieved my IOF .30-06 this month; have not fired it as yet, but am working on making it more shooter friendly. Have attached a 3-9x40 scope, painted the bolt handle black and load indicator flourescent orange (against red, because flo orange is easier to see in low light conditions). My next step is to get hold of walnut blanks, about 1/2 cubic feet and have a both stock pieces made. Chequering could be done with laser now. Would even try and attach a Harris 6-9 inch bipod if I manage to get it from abroad.
Now, the reason I'm telling you this is that all of this is possible on the new IOF, you could tune or accurize the rifle according to your tastes or requirements, unlike the Eddystone which may just remain a piece of history, so to speak. I'm not deriding the Eddystone, but I guess you could decide in favour of the IOF should you want to reallly use it.
Moreover, the price is much more pocket friendly than anything else available in the market. I believe the going rates are about 115K these days, altough I got mine at a much reasonable figure.
Regards,
