I felt the site was confined to newer composite models and palm sized ones.

Great Pistol Ice. Compare the weight length specifications of the Colt 1903 with the one's in the link given by known, it may not find a place there.

I agree.
It is a Pistol that i have my eyes set on. I have handled it and was very impressed. Clean lines, thin uniform design. The only draw back is the magazine release is a bit clumsy.
