Am I in trouble?
I recently participated in the Delhi state Inter school, and will now participate in the national inter school (Kumar Surendra Singh) representing Delhi state Rifle Association. The problem is that I am not a member of the Delhi State rifle association, rather I am a member of the UP State Rifle Association. Membership was not needed to participate in the two competitions, only attestation from school was needed.
But the form for Delhi state inter school stated that I have to represent Delhi for the next two years.
Now if I qualify for the Mavalankars through the National inter school, can I participate in the mavalankars through UP State (of which I am a member already), or do I participate after taking membership to DSRA (Is that even possible? as i am already a member of UPSRA).
Please Help me out, I am really confused about this.
Thanx

Re: Am I in trouble?
firstly, can i ask you to provide more background.
where do you live ? UP or Delhi, and how did you manage to represent one state while living in another?
furthermore, you say you participated in inter school comps, but your profile age is 43! can you please clarify?
please be aware we will not encourage anything against the law.

Re: Am I in trouble?
I go to school in Delhi, and thats why I can play the Delhi state inter school. My father lives in UP, and thats why I became a member of the UP State rifle association (before playing delhi state int. school). For playing the inter schools the DSRA membership was not required, only an attestation from the school was needed and since I do go to school in delhi, that was not a problem.
The profile age is just wrong, I'll try and correct it (if possible).
'... against the law' WoW now thats something, at the most, this can be breaking the NRAI rules, but against the law... I'm pretty sure this is not an offence in the IPC.
Hope that makes it clearer.

Re: Am I in trouble?
Thanks for the details. Seems more clear now. Back to your question....
i. Apart from Himachal and J&K, most states don't mind much who represents which region in sports. (It seems to work fine for Hockey and Cricket.)
ii. Membership of DSRA can be an uphill struggle. I heard they had stopped applications. Of course, if they open up in future, and you find a way in, great!
Does anybody else have any other feelings?
Yes, I think you can participate in the Mavalankars through UP state, even if you have participated in Delhi before.shotgun007 wrote:

Re: Am I in trouble?
Thanks for your reply.
I can not get membership for DSRA anyways because AFAIK, you can only get membership to 1 state association. I also think tha participating from UP should not be a problem but the DSRA interschool application stated that you must represent delhi for the next 2 years... should I ask DSRA for a NOC or something?
Thanks
