Hi Ten X,

If I'm reading this correctly, it doesn't seem like any state affiliation is required. Is this true?
Please to explain if a Delhi State member who hasn't competed in this event before.

Regards,

Dev

"Participation is open to competitors to State Rifle Associations/ Units affiliated to
NRAI. In case where no State Rifle Association exists, competitors belonging to clubs
directly affiliated to NRAI will be allowed to participate. NRAI members must take
part though State Rifle Associations/ Units of their native place otherwise their entry
will not be accepted. All the State Rifle Associations/ Units will allow the members of
NRAI to participate without becoming members of that State/ Club to which he/ she
belongs. However, if there is no such Association / Club functioning in their State, they
can take part as members of NRAI provided they have paid all their dues towards NRAI."

"Shooters qualified, as per NRAI Match Book rule 17.6 are eligible to participate in this
NSCC. Shooters furnishing incorrect information shall be debarred from taking part in
any championship for two years."

As per the above, you should be a affiliated state assn. or affiliated club member, or a NRAI member.. and if an NRAI member, you should represent thru the native state assn., or directly if there are no affiliated clubs around... :)

Also, do note that a minimum qualification score should be attained before hand, and details of the same should be sent to NRAI...
Check the NRAI rules for more details on the MNS... :)

What happens in case the state rifle association has not conducted any matches......I think they can give a wild card entry to its members.....

Is there any restriction to the number of wild card entries for a particular match from one state?

I dont think a wild card is allowed, as such. The state associations may give false scores, as there is no actual NRAI observer, but if the score is found invalid, there is a ban of 2 years...

Nishant,

The state hosting the competitions were allowed to send in a wild card entry or two. I am not sure if this practice is still followed.

Yes, it is still in practice.. only by the hosting state.. both for Mavlankar and for NSCC. Matter of fact, for NSCC, wildcards can be given to those who have not qualified Mavlankar too :)
Since nm is from Delhi, I was referring to him getting a wild card, in my previous post. What Mack The Knife has added is correct and more generic :)
