Maybe this is old news and I missed it, but looks like shooters in air weapons category are no longer eligible to get an aspiring shooter certificate even if they achieve MQS in state/zonal level competitions.

On top of page 4 it says:
"No recommendation/certification will be done on the basis of scores achieved in air weapon events"
Couldn't understand if the same applies for renowned shooters as well.

Aspiring shooter certification help in getting arms licences. Since no licensing requirement is there for air weapons, therefore no certification is required.
