Ace shooter Manavjit Sandhu won the gold in the men's trap event of the 2007 Asian Clay Shooting Championships being held at Manila, Philippines. Sandhu won the gold in the tie shoot beating Khaled of Kuwait. Both Sandhu and Khaled had an identical score of 138 after the finals, but in tie shoot, Manavjit won the gold while Khalede settled for the silver. In the Qualifying round Khaled was leading with a score of 120 and Manavjit was at 2nd place with a score of 118. The two other Indian Shooters Zorawar Singh and Anwer Sultan were also on the same score of 118. The bronze was won by Singapore.
The team gold in this event was also won by India with a total score of 354 out of 375.
