does that still exist?
there was a shooting range inaugrated by maj. r. s. rathore in jagatpura
then it shut down. then open again or so i heard.
hence the query.

HI! Since the forthcomming 51st NSCC is slated to be held in Jaipur Rajasthan in december this year I think the range at jagatpura should be ready to go for 10M air and 50M small bore besides center fire pistol. I had heard that the trap & skeet section was used for a comp. in feb this year so I guess if some member who is local can have a dekko and fill us in ?

The state of art 04 trap & skeet ranges were ready early this year. 10m & 50m are under construction. I spoke to a shooter who visited the site a month ago who said work was in full swing. He said a 100 lane 50m was being made, though I have to re confirm this.
All credit goes to the CM, rajasthan for this range, the JDA (jaipur development authority) is constructing the range with the help of consultants. I think a budget of 20 crores was sanctioned for this project
A international archery range & horse riding facility is complete.

shooter,
will keep ypu posted about range usage rules. JDA officials did mention that they would like to keep it open to all shooters.... though the trap & skeet range did shut down soon after a National level competition.
which event are you interested in ?

The OASES range in Jaipur is almost as large as the Karni Singh range in Delhi.
There may be some teething problems initially but after the Nationals in December things will be sorted out and it should be as efficient or inefficient as the Delhi place.
Rajat tried out his Miroku there but that was an exception.
5th October - Rajasthan State Shotgun event.

im intrested in skeet.
i have beean doing some personal homework and yesterday i learnt that membership fee is 25000
(compared to 15000 in del).
even at that price its not just a walk in membership.
one can shoot as a guest of a shooter (not me).
cartridge cost 48 rs per cartridge but less for a renowned shooter provided the empty shells are returned.
is this info correct?
couldnt find thr price of gun hire.
i plan to spend a lot of time there when i visit jaipur in nov.

is that membership of the DSRA or the Karni singh range?
last time i was a member, the membership was only around 1500ish . have they jacked it up, or have you added an extra zero? anybody been there recently?

i dunno which one. all i was told that if delhi price is 15000 how can they make it 25000 in jpr which is 10000 extra and this is the reason cited by most of my shooting buddies for not joining it- like a boycott/protest.
is the 1500 tag in del annual or life?

Apparently, State or City Associations can charge what they like for life memberships.
I believe Chennai charges Rs.50,000.00, Coimbatore - Rs.25,000.00, KSRA (Bangalore) - Rs.5,000.00, etc.
Whilst Rs.25,000.00 is a very big amount, I am shocked at what they are charging per cartridge but then again I shouldn't have been, considering the presence of a certain person.

Hi Shooter,
The Rs. 15,000/- are NRAI membership charges (Life Membership).
I am not very sure of DSRA charges....
