A.J. 'Smoker' Smith Teaches Sporting Clays

Post by Vikram » Sun Jun 30, 2013 3:04 am

This is a great educational video by the British Sporting Clays legend, A.J.'Smoker' Smith. Smoker because of the ease with which he crushed clays. A world and European champion, he is reckoned to be a titan of the sport. He died in unfortunate circumstances a few years ago. Grumpy will be able to tell you a lot more about him than I can. He used a Winchester 6500 O/U most of the time.

You may not shoot sporting clays, but you will still find this video highly educative if you like shotgun sports.

A great bloke. Lived not too far away in Wiltshire and you never knew which local Sunday morning sporting clays shoot he might turn-up at ..... and sometimes they didn`t recognise him ! Did he always win ? What do you think. lol. Smoker was a phenomenal shot and a really nice man. His suicide was a tragedy.
This video was made 23 years ago and is still just as relevant now.
Make a man a fire and he`ll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
