Help needed from any double trap shooter around mumbai/pune

Hello,
I am looking to start off my learning for double trap. I learned from this forum about the bale wadi range in pune.
I did checkout the range last weekend and it looked great but there are no courses that are conducted. I was told to practice on my own by enrolling for a membership.
Need guidance from any shooters around mumbai-pune about getting started?
Also any experienced shooters willing to help me watch and participate along with them?
Optimus

May be, if you are willing to go to a Delhi where a coach could be found? A weekend session or two should be enough to get you going. Just a thought. Sorry, I could not help here.
Best-

Optimus,
If you are looking at Delhi as an option I would suggest the following:
Assuming you have ammo and shotgun-
1. Take a membership of the Karni Singh Shooting range (forms can be downloaded online from SAI website)- it's pay and play scheme so all you need to do is fill up the form, go to the range and submit it. You can shoot the same day you submit the form.
2. Come over on Delhi on the weekend- range open from 9 (or 9 30 am?) till 5 pm
3. Some individuals coach at KSR if you have willing to spend some good money.
I can't recall the name of the gentleman who provides coaching. If you can- send a pm to a fellow member NM or Safarigent who MIGHT have the number. If no luck let me know I will try and get the number for you once I visit the range in the next few days.
You can rent a shotgun if you don't have one but you will need a shotgun license before the range will rent out a gun to you.
If you don't have ammo or shotgun I think the
http://www.indianshooting.com should be able to arrange some lessons from you. You can visit the website and email on the address they have provided. They probably have 5 day coaching but my memory might be failing me. Best to enquire by calling or emailing them.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
SS

Thanks SS,
I have no license so no ammo no shotgun, just about to begin my journey.
Also because i am a new member i cannot pm yet, I will appreciate if you can help me with the number whenever possible for you.
NM and Safarigent if you notice this please help and guide.
I might not be able to spend good amount of money on coach rightaway, all i am looking for right now is a bit of a head start and then a partner/buddy whom i can train with.
I will also try and contact Indian Shooting and see what they have to say for me.
Thanks again

Optimus,
In that case I would suggest get yourself an arms license first. I am advising this since I'm not aware of any club in Pune or Mumbai that provides ammo and shotgun for double trap. Others around that area can confirm.
No point getting the coach's number in KSR since you'll have to get your own ammo and gun and you currently don't have it.
Indianshooting will help you get a start but you will then have to rely on your own equipment to continue your interest.

Anyone(around) willing to take me under their wing and allow me to watch and train with them(at cost for ammo and gun rental), will greatly appreciate it.
SS: Even though i manage to get my license which does look like daunting task(but willing to give it all) i am not sure how will i get required amount of ammo. I assume i will be spending my quota(if not more) in a day's practice. I will be posting another thread shortly in legal eagle about my license, please contribute.
Any successful Shot gunners please post your journey/experiences/ so I can derive a career path out of it.
Looking for inspiration and guidance.
