Do you want to shoot NASSA or ISU?
(Nassa is far more popular in USA)

So, shoot here, the ranges are certainly accessible here, and there are some programs for a beginner shooter you can try to take advantage of.

Programs for beginner skeetshooters are held at Hyderabad (AP State Rifle Assn), Patiala and presently the NRAI is running a program, but that is limited to shooters under 18 years of age where free ammo, clays and coaching will be provided for a period of time and then probables will continue to get this facility or upto two years.
Delhi State had started some program a few years back when Mr Kochhar donated one lakh for ammo and clay pigeon expenses for beginners, dont know what is the status now.
Chattisgarh Rifle Association has a program for beginners in skeet.
These are a few I am aware of.
Best bet is to go personally to the NRAI and find out more and pursue from there, also talk to other shooters.
If all fails contact me.

1/2 acre is enough for the skeet layout, but one would need at least 200 yards to catch all the pellets beyond the different shooting stations. Also, sometimes a shooter can mistakenly put a slug or buckshot loaded round and adequate precaution would be required
