i couldn't view the clips.regarding the topic..shooting is a basic survival instinct in every human being,by way of sling, bows, knives or firearms.everyone has an instinct to hunt or diplomatically say''shooting targets''agreed?

I don't get a chance to see much of this show, but I'm familiar with it. I'd like to note:
Shooting is a pretty broad term, and can run from shotguns and trap/skeet/sporting clays to silhouette and "paper-punching" types of competition. What's the point of all of this? Well, I would respond with asking what is the point of beating a little white ball around a grassy course with clubs, with the intention of putting it into the hole? What's the point of knocking a bunch of balls around on a table with a stick, trying to bounce them off of the cushions or put them into pockets? Or, what constructive purpose is served by scaling rock cliffs?
There are many respectable sporting pursuits people occupy themselves with, and I would note that the number of activities one can select that are associated with firearms are myriad! You don't even need to shoot: Plenty of people collect cars they don't drive, collect coins they don't spend, or collect sports memorabilia they don't use themselves. Note here that most automobile collecting places a premium on cars that actually run, although they are not street-driven, coin collectors want real coins that have a monetary value and could be spent, but their collectors would never consider doing so, and few collectors of sports wear would consider donning them and entering the fields of professional play.
Likewise, a firearms collector normally places a premium on a real gun that could actually shoot, although he/she wouldn't ever do it!
There is no reason why shooting sports and shooting related activities should be looked at with anything less that the same respect given to other, similar pursuits. We shouldn't accept being made into some sort of social misfit or second class citizens because of our interests!

Nice info Abhijeet,
Could see only some of it - thanks to my very expensive, super-fast NetConn in the UAE! It was taking forever and I lost patience
Pondered on Timmy's thoughts - quite an eye opener; I myself never thought of anyone's interests / hobbies although, maybe new or not known to me, as 'uncool'. To each his own I say!
