Re: Tips on Pistol Shooting
Hi Jitu,
Great to have you back, received your sms also. I have also just got back done almost 800 kms in the last three days driving and getting used to the handling at high speeds in my new gaddi. Just start of from the basics, in a few sessions you will be back to your former level. Please do read up on the shot cycle notes and incorporate these in your system.
Best Regards

Re: Tips on Pistol Shooting
Fiat Linea Diesal - Emotion Pack, my good friend NK007, was instrumental in getting it for me, home delivery, out of turn allotment. Dreaming about it since its launch, having extensively studied it and compared it with other cars in the same segment. Now that I am driving it, it moves like a dream, incredible road handling, I take pretty sharpish turns at 90-110 kph. Diesal consumption with ac is satisfactory, music at your fingertips and so are all my friends, through bluetooth technology. Whenever I feel down, I go for a ride in my car, cures the blues for sure!
Only one drawback! Wife complains that I am spending more time with the car than her! Sigh! Difficult to explain to her.

Re: Tips on Pistol Shooting
Heck HVJ I had you figured for someone who would be jeep crazy. I thought you would be salivating over the Mahindra Thar...so go sell that darn car and get up ahead of me in the line.
Anyway, my training is out of whack was shooting two cards of nineties out of four. The other two would go back to 87, 88. Truth be told I haven't been able to do figure of eights due to a weird shoulder problem. So I am dry firing into a target, and also shooting into the back of a target. I like the idea of the shooting trinity. Let's see how I do this week. Had been out of town last weekend. Will be training from Today.
Regards,
Dev

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Re: Tips on Pistol Shooting
Hello Trini,
Trinidad Tobago, are a great side, enjoyed watching them in the T20 league. Now once again I wish to know a few things, these are as follows;
1. Do you have shooting ranges in Trinidad& Tobago?
2. How many shooters are there?
3. What do you do for a living - reason for asking is to get an idea how much time you can devote per day for training.
4. Please start from Lesson 1. For inspiration, you can follow, what another shooter is doing here, i.e. Jitu Sati.
5. Dont be worried too much about your score, your basics have to be SOLID, this gives a platform for future improvement.
Keep peppering me with questions, I will do my best to help you out. I have always contemplated visiting the W. Indies, hence if you have sufficient number of shooters, we could think of doing a clinic.
Best Regards

Re: Tips on Pistol Shooting
HI hvj1 How are you. To answer your questions
1 yes we do have a range that is used for ISSF shooting ,however it is in need of an upgrade.
2 There are 7 active AIR PISTOL shooters 4 active AIR RIFLE shooters and 6 active 50 m rifle shooters.
3 I am a security officer . I work 6.00am-2.00pm one week and 2.00pm-10.00pm the next.
4 Any coaching would have to be done via a government to government arangement.I wish you luck.
