hi all,

After some 40-50 shots, my body starts to wobble. My body tends to move towards the left side of the target. Is it due to the my shoes not being flat or is there anything wrong with my stance? I wear my running shoes during shooting. Pls advise.

Regards,
major

Hello Major,
Keep your running shoes seperate from your shooting shoes. Obviously due to running, the shoes lose their firm grip on your feet. Whereas, your shooting specific shoes (flat soles) are designed to grip your feet and provide a stable platform via flat soles.
Best Regards

Hello major,
please get your head position checked also, by someone standing just behind you. If you tend to tilt your head towards the front side, you will obviously go towards the left of the target.

Dear Sir and all friends,

I am a bit silent since some time because I am giving some to my shooting... I believe that it is time to give some feedback to you Guruji and share some experiences with our fellow shooters.

As I had written earlier, I have switched to 'preparing the 2nd pull while descending in the aim zone' since a bit more than a month. It needed a lot of self motivation and courage to overcome the fear. Since then, I have shot one official match (549/600) to begin with and two practice matches using the same technique; 555 (12/01/13) & today 566/600.
I did not talk about the 555 because I was in my usual scores although I was very happy with the shooting. Today's score (although a practice match) is important for me because I needed to feel that I am getting better technically. The funny thing is the mental part. it is amazing how the performance goes down when the score gets in the mind... :?
96, 97, 91, 95 (379/400), 95, 92 = 566/600 in 1h11m with 3 seated breaks for 3 sighter shots + 60 record shots. 30 tens, 26 nines & 4 eights.

V gripping & 5 shot cycles. Box drill on 'Shot preparation' = SOA + visualization + conscious preparation of 2nd stage trigger pull while entering the Aiming zone; the result is 49/63 = 78%.
Guruji, please comment / suggest & enlighten.

best regards
tirpassion

P.S. I can not upload the photos of the cards. 'Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.' is the message in Red which pops up.

Resize your pics to 400 X 600 pixels and you should be good to go. I had practiced the same technique but could only pull it off on the 2011 Delhi State. Was shooting 85,95,95, 89,90, 91 when I could pull it off. It was a rhythm thing, I am pretty sure.

Dev

There is nothing which can be termed as a perfect weapon while all are perfect or near perfect to the person who knows /has learnt to adapt himself/herself to a certain one. Any top level weapon will outshoot you for sure.
What one needs most is to perfect his/her skills; mental, technical and physical. That is all what we are in quest of here on TOPS :)

Nope, even the 600x400 is not working... The same message: 'Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.'

Hello Tirpassion,
1.The timing is excellent.
2. Keep your Box drilling to ONLY ONE Element in a Match. You may expand it during practice sessions to include other elements.
By the way, I am impressed by the number of 10s shot, it shows that you KNOW HOW TO SHOOT A 10. As the V gripping improves the negative shots will be converted to higher value shots.
3. Develop a lot of confidence on your second pull, through dry/live shooting and Mental rehearsals,
Best Regards

And, and, and .. I am really happy with your shooting and work. :D
