Shutzen,

I think you are a lil of the mark.

None of the ammo we are discussing is used by any Armoured Regiment for that matter by any part of the Forces incl Para Mil.
.22 was used a long time ago in small nos for training at the FMR in the case of Armoured Regiments but that has now been done away with.

And yes the IOF ammo junk or not that is used by all the Forces for Training and in Operations serves the purpose, and very effectively.

Your remarks about another members fire arm are un called for,if you cant appreciate what some one else has bought and displayed which incidentally has been appreciated by all of the members,
pipe down and reserve your comments.

Do post the notification regarding PB fire arms,it would be of interest to many of us on the forum.

Last but not he least, basic courtesy do introduce yourself in the relevant section, so that one knows who you are, what you do and where you are heading hotshot.

well pal chk agin about the .22 barrels which r used by the armoured guyz to fire .22 ammo for gunlaying practice. These .22 barrels are used instead of the main gun and they have targets where they do the aiming and laying drill and fire a .22 shot to complete the exercise. go to any friend u have whos working in an armd regt with box load of .22 kf empties and xchange them for loaded one no ques asked.

It is very evident from your posts that you know of neither the form or the proprieties while posting on the web.

Hi Shutzen,

I know there is a lot you hold on to and a lot you don't agree to. But it would help if you don't go flailing around like a runaway siege engine... hurling epithets at anyone who dares disagree with what you think is right. While I'd agree that mehul should tone down his posture (Sorry mehul :) ) in view of his being a mod, shutzen, your attitude is, I'm sorry to say pretty whiney, cry-baby and immature. That's pretty unbecoming of a person calling himself a sports man and a 'renowned -shot '(Whatever it may exactly mean). It takes a lot not to be defensive in such circumstances and a certain measure of maturity would be appreciated by all - It builds respect.
Your views, and might I say, very detailed information, is valued, subject to their being accurate and unbiased. Keep posting but do keep your cool as well. :)

well I am just trying to point out that whats the need to have so many forums on this board if Mehul has to make all of em his shooting milsurp in america .. this is a ISSF forum and instead of contributing anything on the ISSF scene he goes around claiming ISSF shooters drop their rifles when they fire ;) and he totally offtracks the topic and it simply reverts to shooting milsurp in america again - and this guy is a mod so no mods chk him only other ppls posts are edited and he can spew what he likes.
That's pretty unbecoming of a person calling himself a sports man
well I am a sportsman thats why I can stand up and tell Mehul to stop posting irrelevent material in the ISSF forum . Do you think I get anything out of interacting at this forum? If all the time Mehul has to post junk I can stop posting and it wont hurt me at all. I just posted bcoz someone wanted some info and if u see I gave it in a much better detailed manner than Mehul who has this dog in the manger attitude...
and a 'renowned -shot '(Whatever it may exactly mean).
means nothing anyone who shoots mqs in his event is one so if u dont shoot mqs in one national (AKA become a renowned shot ;) ) u only have another chance to do it before being sent off to a qualifiying tournament before u can play ur next nats.

well whatever info I post about the sport is accurate and unbiased to the best of my knowledge. If most of the ISSF world prefers and has been shooting europeans weapons and ammo then I dont know why Mehul has such a problem with it - esp. since he himself does not compete anyways if anyone needs any help let me know and the mods can probabably tell Mehul to at least know his forums - he can post all about his service rifle and milsurp in the non-issf forum ;)

Mehul & Shutzen - the rules apply equally to all...

I am temporarily suspending Mehul's moderator privileges for his part in this mess... AND Shutzen you have just earned yourself your first yellow card - in case you have not read the rules, 3 yellows constitute an automatic ban from the site. However, if I see you hurling abuses at fellow members even ONCE MORE - you are out of here mate!

Cheers!

dear schutzen and mehul you both have been very kind. thanks for the answers.
before i ask more questions, i just want to warn mehul, i WILL take you up on that offer. as u might have noticed in my other posts, in my response to vikram, i have mentioned the same thing.
in fact since i was planning to visit us of a in jul, it was i who requested mundaire to call you ;-) . ( same missed call that you have referred to in post farewell mundaire.)

next, the way things look right now, ill be in uk for atleast 5 more years.

and yes i am fond of hunting and that is why i want to practice shooting.
i agree with the stance thing; in fact i dont even rest my elbow while shooting an airgun, lest i get used to it. and i also try to shoot standing uo without support.

schutzen thanks for your patience.
i think your replies were better than most sites.

also as i have mentioned in other posts,
i want all the answers to be present as a thread in one place so that other newcomers like me dont have to ask several people and visit different websites( plz see my other thresd introductions>> welcome dev vrat).

im sure this thread will prove helpful to other newcomers. thanks

what are the recommended/ allowed calibres in these competitions.

what are good, affordable/ available -both in india and abroad- rifles in each of these categories?
plz answer keeping in mind these answers are aimed at beginners/ newcomers/ first time buyers.

are scopes allowed? (silly question)

plz recommend some scopes. (see rifles question.)

mehul allthese questions are directed at you too (plus all the other ifg members)and please tell me some more about the practical diff. between hunting and competition shooting
thanks
You want more gun control? Use both hands!

We would be glad if people stop being cheeky here. One gentleman who has just done that earned himself a not so fake scarlet card and it gives me no pleasure. Please take it that it helps none. Stay on topic at discussion please. Thanks.PMs to follow.

Best-

Vikram
