Yeah yeah.Losing a testicle to a wild animal is top on my list of heroics.Did he get a medal for it?
The Nawab of Semri Bakhtiarpur.
I thought that all titles have been abolished and their use prohibited by the Indian Constitution and the states amalgated into the Indian Union. My fault.

What title are you talking about? Calling a person from Punjab a Punjabi or for that matter a person from Bihar a Bihari amounts to a title is news to me.

Sorry. My fault penpusher. I should have used the words "Erstwhile" But you know, abolished or not, it's still used rampantly by most people. As for the medal part, had you been there the medal part would have been taken care off.

One clear message to everybody. We are not Nawabs any longer but commoners, Citizen of India like anybody else. At no family function or any where is the title or the coat of arms being used any longer. The days of the Nawab and Zamindari are over, we are just farmers and businessmen now. No offence to anybody, we will never use these titles again.

Hi! Guys. It's been a long time as I haven't been surfing the net much. The reason being that I am stuck up in major family hassles at my native place as my uncle is out to dispossess us from our share of the property. Anyway, I thought I would take out time just to inform you all that my son Arimardan Shahi has been selected to represent India in Trap shooting in the junior category in the Asian Shooting Championships to be held in Kuwait from the 2nd to the 13th of Dec. 2007. He shot 102/125 and 101/125 in the two recently concluded trials held at Delhi. After all the set backs he seems to be on track and requires the best wishes of all his uncles and aunts on Indians For Guns. His personal e-mail id is- manu_sps at hotmail.com Hope all of you are fine and it's good to see that this site is making progress by leaps and bounds. All the best to all of you and thanks to those who stood by me in the hour of crisis regarding my sons setback with their moral support.
Best.
Arindam.
