1st one was last year a bit of a let down, guys without rifles etc

BTW, from your posts and questions, you seem to be trying to find out what to choose in shooting as a sport and what to do about it.Is that correct?Best thing,IMHO, is to state clearly what is it that you want to do and start from there.You are not going to do much with that .30-06 or .22lr without being clear about what you are going to do with it in a competition.Once you state clearly what you want to do, it helps people to suggest what you require.

Thanks a lot guys for the reply...............VIKRAM :- i am clear that i wanna do long range shooting and i am working on my .22LR license to start and upgrade from air guns to .22LR just i dont have required information of the rifle clubs i can join for better guidance......u guys seems lot more knowledgable in terms of firearms.so i once again request u all to suggest me with the right rifle club i shoild join,any books , any individual.anything that can help me obtaining success at longer ranges .....i know long range shots need proper weapon which are next to impossible to get in india.my plans are to get a .22LR and upgrade to 30-06 once my basics to long shots are cleared.thanking you all for ur replies.....i dont wanna win a gold or a silver.......i just wanna die as a master shot.......a kinda passion..help me out guys

as for which rifle clubs? any one which has a 300+ range.
when you say long range it usually means 600m+ for which a 6BR [6mm] rifle is best suited.

The nearest rifle club is in other state.........can i apply for another state club membership.........?

@nagarifle........Actually i dont have any family member in gujrat......i have many freinds though.....suggest something sir. I am fed up watching kids firing barrett rifles on internet and me struggling for a .22 ......poor me
