Above is the link to a newspaper article that was published yesterday, it says that the GOI has sent an order to all state governments, not to issue All India endorsements to anyone except present MPs and MLAs and employs of railways, paramilitary forces etc.
and now the All India Endorsement will be done only by the home ministry in Delhi and the Endorsement will be evaluated every 3 yrs.
Everyone please go through and give your comments/ suggestions.
I was wondering what will happen to my All India Endorsement when my license goes for renewal next year. to
May be in a few years time we will be restricted to our colonies and mohallas.

Your All India, like most others here, on renewal will be reduced to district/ state/ bi-state/ tri-state validity... unless the new policy can be somehow rolled back!

This is by far one of the stupidest rules
. The ministry has shown that politicians, babus, or the military are the only ones to be allowed to carry firearms all over India. The rest of us "ordinary" citizens (Aam Janta) are not to be trusted.Funnily, the words "ordinary citizens" are itself an indicator that there exist "Extraordinary Citizens"(non-Aam Janta;my Hindi vocabulary is limited
) and that we are all not equal in the eyes of the Law or the Constitution and so restrictions are placed on us for supposedly our "own safety". In injustice is taking place. The rulers and the ruled must be shown equal regard (or disregard for that matter). Easy for guys in power to decide that my butt is not important enough to qualify for an Arms License while their butts are being protected by armed SPG or Paramiltary guys.
Had to rant,
Anand

Sad .
I inherited weapons which were endorsed for All India. When my licences were issued they were endorsed for U.P. (initially) and then for a much smaller state of Uttarakhand. I live in Uttarakhand but have my farm in UttarPradesh. These Netas first divide the nation into smaller pieces, and then come out with such stupid rules and regulation without thinking. ......................Keeping themselves (MPs and MLAs) immune to such laws.

The point is, What We are going to do??
I think a writ in the supreme court should made but I dont think that its a good idea to go about it individually.
May all of us join hands - and funds, and go about it.

Is this the governments way of increasing recruitment into various government services??? why be an ordinary citizen.....come become a babu..
Is this a way to say that to really live a free life you dont have to me born into a royal family (like the old days), but be a successful criminal, who enters politics??
Is this the way to say that you are a resident of a district and should not travel or shift base to any other part of the country. All the processes are made so difficult - passport address change, ration card, etc.
United we stand.. but in our own districts.
What ever happened to JAI HIND???

I don't understand this Government's non-sense! People generally feel the need to carry weapons when they are travelling to some place else other than their home town. What sense does it make when one who owns a licensed weapon cannot carry it when he/she is travelling? Just plain NON-SENSE!

Everyone agrees that it is nonsense, but are we doing,
apart from discussing this nonsense on this forum?
We had all read, and many of us had responded to
the draft of the policy change, when it was opened to the
public for comments and suggestions.
But it seems that the govt. Has done, what it wanted without
giving any heed to anyone else and so the policy is here.......
now the point is, what are we going to do?
i beg all the senior / experienced members to show the way

Ladies & Gentlemen,
Already a discussion is going on to challenge the Arms Act itself, which is the real source for providing powers to government to violate of our fundamental rights. I request you all to make as many people aware of this and help these ladies & gentlemen to the fullest in every possible way to make it a success. It may take time, but with the continuous support of people, it is bound to be a success. Reference:
