Hunting outside india and bringing back trophies to india

Hi
I understand that it is not legal to hunt in India. I want to know if I hunt in a certain African country where hunting is legal can I bring back the trouphies and skin with me ?

Suppose some one caught with the hide, will it be easy to prove that he is innocent and he actually imported it from abroad?

It's legal to import trophies so long as the paperwork is correct, people do it all the time. IIRC there is another thread on this topic somewhere here... BTW you will NOT be able to import Elephant Tusks or even warthog tushes as India does NOT permit any trade in ivory, those will be confiscated on arrival.
