Dear IFGians,
My friend is working as a branch manager in a Nation wide reputed security company which have ATM money loading activities for many banks.
They have a DBBL License, the name in the License book is entered as follows,
" Branch Manager,
------- Ltd,
-------"

Now the company had changed the Name officially.
Is there any provisions or possibility in The Arms Act to change name of the company in relevant col.of the License book?
Pl. answer.
Thanks.

Not sure if there is a provision in Arms Act or anything in it that allows or bars the change of name. Try contacting the licensing authority with a copy of the legal document that proves the change of company name from "ABC Ltd" to "XYZ Ltd"

If there are no provisions allowing a name change, or if the authorities are reluctant to do this because of a lack of precedent, then a new license can be applied for and issued in the name of the new company name, after explaining to the licensing authority.
