arms license in form 6

hai, i got my license in form 6 for target practise, my photo adress name everything is clear but one gun dealer refused to give .22 catridges for me. he told dhat ' ur license is improper'. i dont know why ?

I don't know how you acquired a license in Form VI as this is granted only to rifle clubs / associations

just got to my arms act out and you beat me to it.

form 6 is for clubs mess, association etc.

for individual it should be form III

By the way about this form 6.., Our Rifle Association in Mizoram has this peculiar problem as nobody in the DC's office has any inkling of form 6, can/does anybody have a digital version of this form?? Would be much appreciated.

It's a part of the Arms Rules.A copy of the Arms Act and Rules would have it.I am sure there is one in the local DC office.If you have any queries,I would be happy to help.

Salam to the dealer who refused you ammo. Please share his name also. Not many dealers would have bothered to see under which form the licence is granted.

the way things work if i am right is that

one fillies in arms license application form, and on the form it say in part C "the form in which the license is required" here it should be the form number, ie form III for individuals or form VI for clubs etc.

i guess you all knew that part,

it took me few calls to understand what that one was about.

and the issuing office should supply the license in the correct form. (only if they know which is which)
