What are the latest regulations for an NRI , An OCI or a Foreign citizen to get a weapon temporarily for self defence or sport ( shooting sport not Shikar ) to India .

Problematical! Even applying for this is a problem and can take upto 3-4 months. Don't think about it!

Dear Friend,
Almost impossible for sports category license, a small chance for self defence but only if you have a huge influence in the Government. Also it could take a minimum of 6 months or more to get the licence and at least 3 months to later sell the weapon purchased on it.
So don't even think about it
