Corporate identification number for sole proprietor?

So i was looking in manufacturer's form in (
https://ndal-alis.gov.in/armslicence/) & is our government asking for corporate identification number for a sole proprietor? I mean how is this even possible? Are they confused between Sole proprietor & one person company?

Hello Karan,
Welcome to the forum.
There is no CIN (Corporate Identification Number) for sole proprietorship. It's only for Pvt Ltd or Ltd or one person company.
There maybe an error on their end. Or maybe it's an optional field.
You should email them and inform about this.

Its not an optional field & i've emailed them. But no response yet.
