Hello all,
My grandfather left us with a gun (long back around 2000) and since then Gun is with gun house. I have mailed failed attempts to sell it and now considering keeping it as his last mark. I don't know to use a gun but want it as a remembrance of my grandfather .
The hierarchy of heirs is as :
Grandfather ->
two sisters ->
one deceased long ago before grandfather , other is my mother - >
deceased sister left with husband and four children ->
I am the only son with two sisters.
So my question -
1. Is there ny license which allows keeping the arm (for remembrance) but not using it
2. if yes, Whether is it possible for my mother or myself to get license
3. If yes, how much easier
Thanks ,
Transfer of Licence

Re: Transfer of Licence
Can a foreign citizen ( NRI ) get a licensed transferred ?
I have painfully deposited my family firearms at a gun house but would like to get them back.
My wife is a Indian citizen , can she get a transfer

Re: Transfer of Licence
Yes your wife can get the arms transferred on her name .
You cannot transfer it as no provision for NRI .
Read point no 25 of arms act 2016 .
Should be very easy in this case to get the arms license transferred .. only one pain is that you’ll have to take some help of relative or friend who has good contacts with police , give some money to the police not right thing to say but that is the situation in our country, things will speed upon taken help with contact.should be done in period of 3 months if follow up is taken properly.
