New arms act has been passed in Lok sabha but with the provisions of 2 weapons per licence .But it is not enough we must demand more weapons as our weapons can not be used in mass killings most of the handguns r in .32 or .22 calibres and 12 bore breach or pumpaction r less than of 2 rounds and 4 rounds .It is most senseless law passed by most senseless representatives elected by senseless people like us .I appologize for any comments fight for gun rights must go on .

All of this real funny for me
3 weapon - 2 weapon - 1 weapon - GO!
Go - with gun laws in shit country for gun owners - looks like UK or Australia or Japan
For info
In UK - not legal semi-auto and pistols, not legal pug with pistol grip and many many other restrictions have 2 type of license shotgun certificate and firearms certificate, firearms certificate only 2 years having shotgun
In Australia - banned ALL including straight pull, semi-auto 22 lr,lever-action have many restriction with caliber.Pistol legal but only for sport reason and get license very very difficult
In Japan - banned ALL real all! Legal only 2 barrel shotgun with many restrictions or semi with magazine 1 shot! All weapons with magazine more then 1 shot NOT LEGAL ! Rifle may buy after 3 or 5 years have shotgun and only with 1 shot and only bolt-action In theory straight-pull legal but its only in theory FULL BAN - pistols and revolvers! Many restrictions with knife! BUT pepper spray legal!

Absolute agree ! ALL INDIAN CIVIL WEAPON its old developing 19 century and no using for mass killing ,because have 6 or 8 shot and caliber more less-lethal need shooting in man 3-4 times or more for kill
what mass shooting with 6-shot revolver or 8-shot pistol?
Criminal in India basic using illegal katta gun in caliber .315 its real danger weapon because may kill with 1 shot, have high energy and HP bullet

U r right even 12 bore katta or 32 bore pistol of country holds 12 rounds 9mm is manufactured illegaly .It is sad day for legal gun owners of India wheredecisions r made in rooms .Let VIPS face house break or roadside attacks then they will know the meaning of insecurity .Even buck shots of 12 bore amno have been banned in India.

As per my understandings (based upon media reports), this stupid two-weapon rule also includes heirloom category licenses. Also, one major thing that I have not been able to figure out is that whether they are doing away with the norm of issuing licenses under different categories - simply put, will a sports shooter license holder be entitled to apply for a license under the self-defense category and obtain the proposed two firearms, besides the number of weapons he/she holds under the sports quota?
Would much appreciate, if someone gives an accurate answer.
All the best folks.

The limit of 3 under Section 3(2) goes down to 2 (TWO), penalties are increased for various offences, some new offences added, provisions from MCOCA (organised criminal activities) added, rest remains the same for now.

Sir many are really dissapointed for the reduction and may rightly take legal action. However due to the efforts of NAGRI and NRAI to reach to many Parliamentarians finally has resulted in 2 weapons or else our HM is not a person to budge from 1 weapon. I have heard Rifle Club shooter will get an extra weapon. Will it necessarily have to be a .22?

(Re posting)- Does a two gun limit mean one firearm and one 22 air rifle, now that .22 AR's need a license

They tried to limit it to one and only conceded another simply because of the tireless efforts of the NAGRI team and various leaders. They almost got away with that. They will again try to do that if law abiding gun owners become lackadaisical and take. Then it will be none. Support NAGRI and spread awareness!

True. Nagri membership should be available easily. It's sink or swim together.
