Hi,

I will be visiting Japan shortly. I was wondering if is possible to buy an Airsoft gun and bringing it in checked baggage. Will customs create any issues? I will have to further travel via domestic flight once I reach India.

Last time I visited Japan (Tokyo), I saw a really good collection of Airsoft guns; really impressive.

“Will there be any problems at customs?” Yes there could be, depending on the following:

Bringing in checked baggage: 90% chance it’ll be released. IF detained, mostly will get released on submission of NOC from law enforcement.
