i want to know that we can import a gas operated semi auto rifle that chambers a NPB cartridge without gas system( which makes gun bolt action) via arms dealer in india? it will be legal?

i hear on internet that in UK where also semi auto rifles are not allowed where they import AR-15 and AK 47 without gas system to make them legal.

Short answer - NO! Not just the above type but pretty much any type of firearm.

Long answer:
- Commercial imports of firearms have been effectively banned since the early 1950's (by the government not renewing their import licenses for the same)
- Dealers may still import limited quantities of ammunition of certain calibres, it's a pretty convoluted system which is better explained by an arms dealer.
- Personal imports by individual arms license holders has been effectively banned since 1986.
