I've seen quite a few manufacturers for muskets in India, but I am not familiar with the laws about the ownership or acquisition of them or crossbows.
I also wonder how new guns get imported, assuming that the these websites are being honest:
http://www.chhillargunhouse.com/pistol/ (they show a Walther PK380) http://www.chhillargunhouse.com/rifles/
http://cms.simsongunhouse.com/index.php ... ted-rifles
http://www.pitambergunhouse.com/rifles.html
(How did they get in seemingly new Savage and CZ rifles?)
As for the Pitamber Gun house, they claim to be a "class 1 licensed Firearms dealer". Does anyone know what this means?
I'm sorry if this isn't quite the right place to post this, as that I'm very new to the forum, and I ask out of curiosity of a foreigner. Thanks.
What are the laws on crossbows & muzzle-loading firearms? Plus other questions.

Crossbows don't require a licence
Muzzle loaders require a licence, it is entered in the licence book as NPB ML GUN
New guns are imported either by renowned shooters or people returning to India on TR (Transfer of residence)
