FYI all, the Government has issued a notification exempting firearm replicas from all provisions of the Arms Act, except for Section 5. Section 5 deals with license for manufacture & sale of arms.

I do not know what to say about this. Firearm replicas or imitation firearms are anyways completely outside the ambit of Arms Act 1959. Firearm replicas or imitation firearms are neither arms or firearms as they cannot fire a projectile, thus Arms Act 1959 including Section 5 does not even apply in the first place. Then where is the question of issuing a Notification to exempt them?

Why they are issuing these kind of baseless Notifications? Are they trying to confuse? Are they having some kind of future strategy to make more draconian changes? Like one would need license under Arms Act 1959 to manufacture even toy guns used during festive seasons like Diwali etc. by children. Apply your mind and come to your own conclusions. Are they attacking the desire of children to own the guns when they grow up? The matters are self evident.

Thanks Abhijeet for the info. Thanks the govt for not including replicas. I think other way round. The govt do not think the way we think so its completely useless to discuss what is wrong what is right. Nagri is doing its best and what we got in the revised Arms act in favour is the result of what Nagri has been fighting for.

Just to conclude - Bad man has looted people with replicas
