Hi All,
This is my first post and I want to know is it possible to jointly apply for a license with my Brother ( He is a serving officer with the Army ) OR is there any way where he can apply for a license and then transfer the license to me .

Also I have heard that they provide license very easily in the state of Jammu and Kashmir,So is it advisable to get a license there and transfer to my current location. I live in vijayawada,Andhra Pradesh and getting a gun license here without political clout is impossible.

Any info in regards to this post would be greatly approciated.

Thanks and Cheers Mates

Hi Goldidubey,

Sorry to disappoint you, but as per my information a arms licence cannot be transferred , the weapon though may be done so .
Incases of inheirtance, the legal heir may be issued a licence so that the family may retain the weapon .
I feel instead of taking a circuitious route via your brother, have faith in the system and apply through proper channels.

All the best,

Chicky

Hi
And if you are still at it,beware of J&k fake licenses. Most dealers will neither give you ammo nor sell you a gun on J&K license. Thats my personel info through reliable sources.
