Well if they are making it one can guess its tolerable... since the topic of magazine capacity doesn't seem to appear any where in the arms act. Just another vague ambiguous issue open to all kinds of interpretations by both sides.

Strictly speaking, fabricating any functional component of a firearm for any purpose other than repair (by a licensed party) is not allowed... as per my understanding....penpusher can help here.

Anyway if its available- go ahead an buy it - if you don't mind the cost.

You can even have a drum mag for your pistol as long as it is fabricated by a dealer with a license for repair of firearms

but as far as i have seen it is cleary written on the main page of licence: NUMBER OF AMMO CAN BE POSSESS AT A TIME : 10 or what ever granted,,so magzine capacity more than spcified amount is useless.

Well theres no specific mention of magazine capacity in the Arms Act, so the question doesn't arise as long as reasonable limits are maintained.

Only 10 shots ? I suppose you're meaning the number of shots possessed at any one time. If so that will vary from place to place depending on the discretion of the issuing authority. Most times it's between 25-50 isn't it?

My point is, if it isn't mentioned in the Act or a relevant notification, then it should be no problemo.

I think the question was whether one could get one legally. It is upto the individual to get it or not.Seems he/she can.

I didn't know that.

I think that limitation is another instance of government stupidity

Then we are luckier this side:

Most people get 25/50 or occasionally 50/100 :)

In Delhi the standard is 25/50 as well... but you can have this quota increased if you show good "reason" for the same...

Cheers!

We get 50 at a time and 250 in a calendar year. I finished my 250 quota in 2 months. Now I only have the last 7 rounds in my carry mag.

A question; is the yearly quota applicable to a calendar year or is the year calculated from the date you got your license? For e.g. a license was issued in November and by 31st December one uses up 250 rounds, Now can he buy again in Jan or has to wait till next November?
