Applying for firearm license in Noida

Dear Forum Members,

I've been living in Noida for over 10 years. I wish to apply for firearm license in Noida, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar. Kindly advice where I can get the form from (Is this available online?), and where can I submit the form (Is this office open on Saturdays like normal Government offices?).

I plan to own a revolver. Any other advice is also welcome. I looked around the site, but could not get this information in older threads.

The form should be available at the licensing authority's office.Usually your Police Commissioner's.

Dear mkay,
you need to go to collectrate ( Surajpur) along with your adress proof , their you find aslaha babu ( weapon clerk). he will give you two forms 1. for police approval. 2nd. for tehsil aproval. further guidence he will provide.

Dear only32owner, I'd seen the page which Safarigent suggested. Primarily local aspects such as address to the additional SSP city's office. Sometimes such offices are run from one place or another due to multiple charges with govt officers or transfers. At least this is the case in this part of country. It helps from hear frmo someone who's gone through the process locally. No offense meant to anyone. You can understand my point from enigmatic's reply.

Update: For Noida residents, need to submit application with residence proof etc in two sets for police and tehsil purpose. Also, needed to submit the affidavit of 10 rupees for both these sets.

I wasn't provided any receipt or application number by the clerk.

Documents asked to be submitted along with the form : Address proof, Photo Id, PAN card, last electricity bill, Last 3 Years IT return and 3 photographs. Don't understand whether i am appling for a bank loan or an arm license, i don't have an income to file an IT return is it a prerequisite to apply for an arm license.

Dear bhupi, I think these are required as residence proof and address proof. I was not asked for all of these as I submitted my passport copy, and I'm staying at my current address for 6 years now.
