Delhi New Rule for issuance of cartridges

As per a meeting held on 10 or 12th October, 2012, directions have been issued to Arms dealers as NOT TO SALE more than 10 cartridges to licencees EVEN THOUGH the limit prescribed for holding at a time is say 25 / 50 / 100 or whatever.

Further cartridges will be issued only after one fills up a proforma mentioning the usage of earlier sold 10 cartridges.

It means effectively the limit to possess number of cartridges at a time has been reduced to 10 in contravention of the limit prescribed in one's licence.

No, its not a joke.

Its also not a notification but an order passed by DCP Licensing in a meeting convened by him. Copy of this order is available with every Arms Dealer in Delhi.

will it help if they get the ammo quota and catridges held by other licencee's from other states and hand over it to the officials in charge.????its not safe to be in delhi anymore.

They were kind enough to raise it to 30 purchasable at one time and 50 per year otherwise it was a pain travelling 250 kms for 12 shots(4 each for shotty , 22 and .32)
Thats the latest on it.
