Prohibited bore in HP

Post by Glock 25 » Wed Sep 26, 2012 9:40 pm

According 32, acp .22, .357, .44, .25 etc., are all NPB calibres and licenses for these are issued by the local licensing authority (the SDM in the case of districts and DCP (Licensing) in the case of metro cities). But in Himachal the Authories are not enter the weapon which are 380 Acp and others higher calliber. I have the little link in the D.C. Office ,but he says that yes these are the NPB weapons, but the Authories are not sign it to enter the weapon. Even the dealer of HP says yes these are NPB , but in front of Authories we are helpless. I am also read on one of the post of this site that the 45 acp calliber are the NPB in the State of Maharasta. Kindly provide me the specific document which shows that 32, acp .22, .357, .44, .25 9x 18 Makarov , 7.62 x25 mm Tokerav are all NPB calibres and licenses for these are issued. If you do that it is the great help for us. Here I am also mentioned that 380 acp and others calliber are Npb in Punjab but not in HP, . In Himachal Pardesh a person those who have Policatical infulance can get the licence of Handguns. Here I also mentioned that if u have the Policatical infulance you got the All India Licence, if not you got only Distt level. If you want to get the All india there are Huge of condition. Kindly answer all these Question
With Regards

Arms Rules 1962 are same all over India, it does not matter if you are in H.P. or Punjab or any other State. There is no document which shows that .32 acp .22, .357, .44, .25, 9x18 Makarov , 7.62x25 mm Tokerav are NPB calibres. Use the thumb rule that anything that is not PB is NPB.

Thanks Sir,
But the authories are not consider it.They want the Document proof. And how we provide it. They said that its not Possibele. They consider 380 and 9x18 Makarov, 7.62 xs25mm Tokerav as a PB, because they are in the categry of 9mm. How we refuse them, when we have not the solid documantary proof.

Category 1b and c in Schedule 1 of Arms Rules 1962 have been given the name of prohibited bores by the babudom. If you read Category 1c in Schedule 1 of Arms Rules 1962, it clearly says "service 9mm.". Service 9mm. is only 9 mm Luger(9x19 mm) that is used by services. Rest are not used. Similarly service 7.62mm. is 7.62x51mm and not 7.62x25mm. Politely challenge their common sense and not their ego.
