This is a follow up of the investigation in the Sri Ganganagar licensing scam. Couple of dealers from Udaipur were involved in this. Good thing the police are finally acting. What remains to be seen is if all the illegal weapons are recovered.

A similar scam was also perpetuated in Surat, Gujarat wherein about 150 fake licenses were issued sometime in the late '90's or after.

Dealers generally connive with licensing branch employees to make a quick buck without realising the legal and political ramifications. Needless to say that the perpetrators are state guests now.

How true is the rumour that after the Sriganganagar scam the licensing in rajasthan became much strict comparing old days ?

The babus do all the "GHAPLAS" and the law abiding peaple face problems because of them and of course by them ! :(
