Indians For Guns

I read somewhere that by a notification published in Feb 2012 the Govt. of India has cancelled it's earlier permit to allow duty-free imports of .177 air guns to India by registered members of State/National Rifle clubs.

Is this information true ?

If true, then as a registered member of a rifle club, what have I to face if I want to import an sir rifle ?

The search feature is not very good. For e.g., I tried to search "air rifle" in Legal Eagle and searched "Topics" only. But, it says that the term I am using is too common and it would not do it.
