Hello everyone
I want to get arms license for handgun for me and my family safety. I am currently 26, working private and not a member of any shooting clubs. I know the success rates in haryana are very low for guys like me, but in todays time , family and personnal safety is a must. and i dont rely on our lazy and corrupt law-and-order situation and cops. So how can i get license for self protection with area validity of 3-4 adjoining states.
Please guide me friends. I really need one.

Yes go through the above link. This matter has been discussed a number of times and at number of places in this forum.
In most of the cases this is what one has to go through:- apply for arms license -> get rejected -> appeal to appellate authority -> get rejected -> file a writ in High Court directing the Licensing Authority to issue arms license as per Arms Act 1959. There are plenty of favorable High Court judgments. They can be read at http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15639 and http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15638
