Post by sainikji » Tue Mar 13, 2012 5:20 pm

Hello,

I have received a letter from Ordnance Factory, Muradnagar for collection of .32 Bore Pistol on 17.3.2012 and have been asked amongst other the following documents to produce on that date:

1. NOC
2. Transit Licence in Form VII

I request assistance of the esteemed members w.r.t. following points.
A.
As per Delhi Police Licencing Department Website, The Transit Licence is to be obtained from DM Concerned.

SO, in my case being a North Delhi resident, I have to apply with which department for Transit Licence ORRR
the Transit Licence will be issued by Muradnagar/Gaziabad DM?-----.. Please Assist.

B.
The NOC will be issued by Delhi Police Licencing Branch in how many days
C.
Do I have to visit in person to the respective office to obtain NOC and Transit Licence ORRR I can send someone on my behalf to obtain the same.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Please solve the querries, if possible, today itself on account of shortage of time.

Mr. Sainilji, You need to get NOC from your licencing authority under section 50 of arms rules i.e. Your DM / Collector should send a NOC by regd. post on your request to the DM ( Muradnagar or its dist. Hq) of the place you are supposed to take delivery of the weapon. Based on this official NOC, the Muradnagar district collector/ DM will give you TL ( transit licence in Form XX and not in Form VII. ( Form VII is for permission to take your licenced weapon beyond your area of validity). Please see that the NOC is typed in triplicate so thatone is sent officially, one you can have one in person, one as spare ,The NOC should be sent offically by RPAD to the DM concerned under which Muradnagar comes. When you go to Muradnagar , You have to pay the necessary fee at the treasury and submit a requisition to the D. M. of Muradnagar and he will issue the TL in form XX. Do not encourage touts . If you are sure about TL specialists. give them Rs/- 500 for their service . You have to be in Muradnagar a day or two in advance. Good luck. Jai Hind
